In the year 2015, at age 19, she debuted her first single, Here. The single was a smash and garnered praise from critics and listeners alike. The song reached the top spot in both Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone called the track one of the Top Songs in the year 2015. She released her debut Know It All album in the year that followed. The third track, Scars to Your Beautiful was among five tracks which reached the top charts on Billboard which included Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as Billboard Hot 100. The track is special due to her Rap-Up interview she gave many of people who listened to her music could relate to her experience in discovering their own love and rethinking their beliefs about her. Cara is well-known for her ability to incorporate songs about mental health, compassion and self-love in her songs. Every song Cara sings comes directly from her struggle with insomnia, mental illness as well as other problems. According to Reuters interview, she's described her album as half-tumultuous and half-perfected. She tells people that she discovered her development during therapy. Alessia Cara has been a Canadian artist since the year 1996. Her parents come from Italian origin. She was given a guitar by her parents after she was 10, which ignited her passion for music. 2013 was the year she recorded her favorite songs for YouTube the most popular social media site. This was to demonstrate that she had the talent and confidence to pursue a career as an artist. Sweater Weather is among these covers which led to being discovered at the time by EP Entertainment. This record label gave her the opportunity to create her own songs.
