That same year she debuted the album she titled Know It All, the track Scars to Your Beautiful ranked at the Billboard Hot 100 as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. It was also one of the five original songs. The track in question was unique because it was based on an interview with Rap-Up many listeners were inspired by her story of self-doubt, and her journey to learn how to be a better person. Cara's songs often include positive thoughts about mental health, and the importance of loving oneself. She's been in the midst of anxiety and insomnia that has influenced her music. Reuters reported that she called the album "half tumultuous, half perfected". The therapy she received has helped her develop and encourages people to try it too. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto, Canada. She was born on July 11th, 1996 to parents of Italian descent. Her parents gave her guitar at the age of 10 and this ignited her love for music. Three years later, when she was 13, she began singing her favorite tracks via YouTube. It proved to be a fantastic opportunity to show others that she possessed both the talent and the courage. In fact, one of the covers Sweater Weather ended up getting her noticed by a record label called EP Entertainment which allowed her to write and create her tracks.
