At the age of 19, she published her first debut single Here. The song received praise both from listeners and music critics. It reached number 19 in both Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named the song one of the Top Songs in 2015. The same year she launched the album she titled Know It All, the song Scars to Your Beautiful ranked at the Billboard Hot 100 and Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. It was also among the first five songs. Based on an interview she gave together with Rap Up, this song held a lot of meaning for many people listening who were drawn to her tale of finding acceptance and appreciation for your self. Cara is well-known for her ability to incorporate songs about mental health, love and self-love into her songs. The music of Cara is directly from her battle with depression, insomnia and other health issues. According to a Reuters interview she describes her album as half tumultuous and half well-crafted. She claims she has grown by therapy and is adamant about encouraging others to seek help when necessary. Alessia Cara is a Canadian performer who was born on July 11, 1996, to parents from Italian descent. Her first guitar was purchased from her parents at the time she was 10, which ignited her musical passion. She started covering her favorite songs when she was 13 to prove to everyone that she was a talented musician and the confidence required to become a singer. In fact she covered one of her tracks Sweater Weather was the track which got her attention by EP Entertainment. They allowed her to create and record her own songs.
