Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a mixed race British-Nigerian child, was born to a family in South London. She has a father who is Nigerian as well as Swiss as well as her mom is English. She was lived in a housing estate run by the council in the south of London. In the ages of 14, she attended The Brit School. She pursued acting studies in The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. While at school she appeared in numerous stage plays, such as the King Henry V's Princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe's acting career began with Storm Damage. Since then Madekwe's appearance in Teachers and Doctors. Madekwe's film debut was in Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), with Colin Farrell. Following that she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she appeared in Trexx as Ollie and in six episodes of Flipside. Also, the ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl was her first appearance in 2008 playing Bambi. Madekwe was also a part of 2008's comedy How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Her credits in theatre include Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut with The Beautiful Life in 2009. The series aired only two episodes at The CW, and was eventually removed from the air. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. Following her appearance as a regular on the initial two seasons it was announced in May 2013 that she would depart the series following a guest appearance in the first episode from the 3rd season. The actress portrayed Tituba in the TV show Salem from 2014 to 2016. Her long-time friend, Iddo, married Madekwe in June of 2012. In addition to Secret Diary of a Call Girl they also appeared in tandem on Salem and he had part in the show with her. that show.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actor who was raised by an extended family. She was the daughter of Roy and Patty Leggat. Her parents, Roy and Patty and the four brothers of her, Brett, Todd, and Bram and Bram, were present. Ashley's four brothers, all very physically active, were all playing hockey in the winters and baseball in the summers, meaning that she grew up playing in arenas and baseball parks. Ashley was never able to walk. She was a dancer. So when she was 2 and a 1/2 when she was a little older, she began to take part in Baby Ballet. Ashley discovered a love for dancing shortly after she joined Baby Ballet. When she was in the high school she attended, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical, and hip-hop. Ashley won the best soloist honor at each major dance contest, which included International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, to name just the few.
